Veterans Museum Donation
"The VFW LECLAIR KOZLIK LOGAN BASSETT POST 6342, based in North Smithfield, recently donated $2,000 to the Veterans Memorial Museum in Woonsocket. Members of both organizations gathered at the museum June 11, to present the gift, which post leadership said they hope to make an annual tradition."

Eagle Scout Spruces Up Veterans Memorial Museum
WOONSOCKET – Eagle Scout Aidan Sousa said he was proud to lead his troop on an assignment to revamp the Veterans Memorial Museum in Woonsocket on Nov. 18. Tasks completed by the Scouts included setting up displays, digitally restoring archives, and general cleanup of the venue at 78 Earle St.

Marine Gets His Dying Wish: A Uniform To Be Buried In
DIGHTON, Mass. — Normand Dupras sat at the Dighton Nursing Center, amazed to hear from his granddaughter, Dona Silva, that a group of people was there to see him.
“We’ve got a surprise for you," Silva told him Wednesday.
That’s when Glenn Dusablon, of the Veterans Memorial Museum, in Woonsocket, presented Dupras with a full Marine Corps dress uniform, including the white hat, belt and gloves.
“I love this," Dupras said, looking over each item.

Museum Founder Helps War Veteran’s Last Wish Come True
WOONSOCKET – When Glenn Dusablon, founder of the Veteran’s Memorial Museum in Woonsocket, first got the phone call, he says he wasn’t sure how to react. A volunteer at the Rhode Island Veteran’s Hospital, it seems, had heard about Dusablon’s collection of war paraphernalia, a massive military storage including hundreds of uniforms from nearly every conflict in United States history, many of which are now on display at his Earle Street museum.

New R.I. Veterans Museum Showcases Collector's Memorabilia
WOONSOCKET, R.I. — When he was 9 years old, Glenn Dusablon found a Civil War-era bowie knife once owned by an ancestor packed away in his family’s home in Ware, Massachusetts.
“That’s the thing that got me going collecting,” he said. “I stated saving my grass-cutting and snow-shoveling money to buy war stuff.”
